Hello Space Cat Rebels,
We hope this transmission finds you well. We are delighted to report that with only 8 days left in our rebellion, the fascist Rat Pack is on its back paws! Thanks to you, we have liberated one stretch goal, and we are on our way to unlocking another. But first...
"That’s how Space Cats Fight Fascism was born. The card game, which is about exactly what the title promises, recently hit its goal on Kickstarter (the campaign ends May 31). This means that sometime around the holidays, two-to-four friends and family members can gather around the dinner table and play a cooperative game where sentient animals in the year 3,000,000 are waging a galactic rebellion against a rising tide of fascism and anti-cat bias perpetuated by the Rat Pack. In an interview with io9, Vanslyke said TESA wanted to make a game that educated people about how ideologies of hate can rise and spread, using one of the best tools for speculative storytelling: science fiction."

Stretch Goal Unlocked. New One Announced!
Thanks to you, we've unlocked our first stretch goal, and we'll be adding SC to the resistance as a playable character! SC is the team's hacker.
SC's exact ability is still being playtested, and it may change in the final version.
Now, we are able to announce our next stretch goal! If we are able to reach $34,000 before this campaign ends, we will add three additional "New Power" cards to the game!
Every cat in the game starts with a beginning ability. However, throughout the game, they can learn new ones. These create fun combinations as well as a unique way to play each time. Here's an example of a new power:
By adding three new powers to the game, you'll have more ways to customize your cat and experiment with different strategies of combinations.
We're excited to develop the mechanics behind these three new powers and commission new art to go alongside them. If you want to see them as well, you can share the io9 article or a link to the campaign itself.

Hello space cat rebels!
I come to you bearing good news. Thanks to your tireless clawing and kneading, the Rat Pack has been dealt a major blow. We surpassed our initial goal of $20,000 - which means this project is officially funded!
In addition, because we broke that goal before the end of the weekend, we promised you a new piece of art from our art team! And we're excited to share it with you now:

Announcing our First Stretch Goal: A New Character!
Because we've reached our initial goal, we can now announce stretch goals. Our first stretch goal is a new playable character: SC!
If we reach $27,000, we will be able to include SC in the base game - meaning there will now be five playable characters in the base game!
SC's ability allows him to gain more resources when taking on the Rat Pack. Every time he fights Fascism, he reloads the cards in his hand. This is a powerful ability that will help the resistance bulk up its resources in the struggle to liberate the galaxy!
Now, let's try to reach this stretch goal. The Rat Pack won't be expecting us to strike so soon after our latest victory!

Hello space cats!
During our last update, we said that if we reached $12,000 by the end of the weekend, we'd commission the game's art team to create a new piece of art to share with you all. Well, you blew that goal out of the water - we're over $15,000! Thank you so much!
So, we are happy to share with you our latest piece of art - catching a ride on a passing asteroid! This art was done by Toronoto-based Fox Desfleurs.
Sometimes, a Space Cat rebel just needs to get around. Playing cards with the "Teleport" effect allow you to easily jump to any planet in the galaxy - in case you instantly need to get to Planet Space-Vet where the Rat Pack are about to take control, or if planet Fishbowl is on the verge of becoming liberated, or if you have a fuzzy feline friend on Planet Dust Bunny who needs to be healed.
We love the art in this game - it's adorable and hilarious, all at once. We're thrilled to be able to bring these illustrations to life with your support!

Hello space cat rebels!
It is day 10 of our feline rebellion, and already we are heading towards a monumental victory.
Three hundred of you have joined the resistance, and we are very close to reaching our initial goal of $20,000! That is incredible, thank you so much!
If we are able to reach that milestone, it will land a major blow to the fascist Rat Pack. And once we make it, we'll be able to introduce our stretch goals - which will add more art and features to the game!
Cat-five!
So, we have spoken with the rebellion's top graffiti experts (the game's art team), and they have agreed to produce another piece of preview art if we are able to reach this initial goal before the end of the weekend. But which card will they illustrate? "Set up a Whisker Network," "Spread a Symbol of Hope," or "Boxes for All Cats to Sit In"? Let's achieve this goal and find out! Share this Kickstarter with the friends, family members, co-workers, complete strangers on the street, and imaginary friends that you think would be into it. We'd love to have the art team create this new piece of art and start unlocking stretch goals!

We wanted to say thank you, thank you for a wonderful first 48 hours. The Rat Pack tried to crush our rebellion, but because of you all, the animal resistance is on its way to freeing the galaxy for all species!

As some of you may know, we were attacked online by some people who, ahem, apparently have an issue with a game about fighting fascism. We won't lie. At first, the things that were being said by these individuals was disheartening. But then the overwhelming wave of support from you all lifted our spirits and we thought to ourselves - what would the space cats do in this situation? Would they slink into the shadows and give up?
Nah. The space cats would groom their fur, get a good ol' stretch in, and then pounce into action. So that's what we're going to do. But the resistance isn't led by only a couple cool cats - it's going to take all of us. So we need your help!
